Even knowing about the sensor contamination complaints I bought the D600 bodyonly back in October (no discount for me!) and when I received it from I immediately did the F/ "sky test" and lo and behold there were the dots and spots. I wet swabbed the sensor and following that the contamination only very gradually began to appear again.

Honestly, I don''t know why people are making such a big deal out of this. I own a D600, and yes a couple dust spots showed up. Nothing too bothersome. I just used a sensor swab, and voila clean as new. The D800 that I own on the other hand, has had firmware lockup issues, and a right focus issue. Way more of an issue to me than a couple dust spots.
