Mar 27, 2015· Also, any suggestions on recent IR receivers would be interesting. Motherboard hardware power on is a must. I have been using the IR310 with iMon software which is old, but has served me well for many years. I love the programmability and the fact I could easily implement a log off button (I leave the HTPC running most of the time).

Nov 22, 2015· However, if you’ve got the right components lying around, [Sebastian Goscik] has instructions and an Arduino sketch that will let you control your HTPC with any IR remote control.
Good day everyone! I have an older style Microsoft MCE remote IR Sensor, connected to my HTPC running Kodi within Windows. I actually don''t use the MCE remote anymore, but use a Logitech Harmony basic remote as it''s a bit more simplified and does everything I need it to do.
Apr 30, 2012· I built an HTPC and used a Wesena ITX7 with a builtin IR receiver. I have a Logitech Harmony One I was trying to get to work with the damn IR receiver. It was an epic FAIL. I''m sending the receiver back to the dude I got the case from and he''s going to test it and send me a new one if it''s truly messed up, but I''m not holding my breath.
The front panel display features an IR receiver and LCD that works with media center applications. The receiver is compatible with Windows Media Center and Vista. Finally, the Black Fusion also comes with a 56button remote control and iMEDIAN HD by iMON software to help you manage your media. Your next home theater PC is waiting for you.

Jan 17, 2011· One thing a PC doesn’t have is an IR receiver, a sensor to pick up and translate those IR commands from your remote to manipulate the HTPC software. Say you are using Sage TV or Windows 7 Media Center.
Jan 29, 2014· I think i might buy one of the new NUC''s and i noticed they have a built in infrared sensor, do people think the IR sensor will work with sage and if so what software would i need to make it work. Server: Win 10 64bit Core i3 8GB 20TB, TBS6985, TBS6984, Sage 9. Clients: 5 x HD300, 2 x HD200, Placeshifter.
EO/IR sensor is integrated. Performance of an EO/IR sensor depends upon the optics, detector, and display, in addition to factors mentioned it is unwise to evaluate the potential utility of an EO/IR sensor from specifications alone, that is, without using a detailed

Sep 02, 2019· The IR sensor wasn''t aligned well with the IR window in the case, and I decided I needed to go ahead and make a custom mount. Using the old Origin IR110 PCB and the Inteset PCIRS501 PCB as templates, and with a few extra measurements from the Origin X15e case, I was able to mock up a design in Tinkercad.
An IR sensor on the TV sends the remote control back to the HTPC. I really don''t see the need for the PC to be on show in the lounge. I don''t really do optical media so the occasional DVD/BD can be ripped to the movie library on a more accessible PC.

Mar 20, 2011· Both setups have separate amps, dvd players etc, but share other components including a satellite PVR and a HTPC. IR for the "lounge" system comes in via a Xantech box, and the usual emitters. It all works a treat at the moment but I''m considering an upgrage which would see (amongst other things) a second HTPC, instead of one the DVD players.
May 18, 2009· If you really wanted to do it just using the network you could have the IR sensor or an rf sensor on a pc that would send the wake up packet over the network. What I was referring to though is using the WOL connector to power on the pc.
May 03, 2016· The IR receiver receives commands from an mce remote. Any other IR commands (eg tv or wd live) will not work and wont show up as events. This is not an IR learning device, its simply for ease of integration as a home theater pc and is programmed to only accept those codes.
Apr 29, 2012· this IR Receiver will work in any other HTPC''s as long as there''s room to fit it in of course.. once again, there''s a little bit of work involved since you need to drill a tiny whole in your case to install this IR receiver.. but once done, you''ll be able to power ON your HTPC from a complete OFF state.
Dec 03, 2009· While browsing newegg the other day, I saw a nifty little gadget called a ''nettop'' by the name of ''Revo''. A nettop is essentially the desktop version of it''s cousin, the netbook. Similar to the netbook, the nettop is designed with lower power consumption, small footprint, and low cost in mind. Surprisingly, the Revo nettop (or Acer Aspire Revo AR1600 as it''s formally known as) makes a decent ...
Apr 22, 2015· Low cost Intel Bay Trail mini PCs such as Pipo X7, MeegoPad T01, MeLE PCG03, etc… almost all share one thing in common: they lack an IR receiver, and for people who’d like to use their box as a dedicated HTPC running Kodi for example, this could be a problem as connecting a keyboard might not the best of I’ve been asked about this …
Apr 03, 2016· I have the following: Intel NUC5i3RYH with built in IR sensor (CIR) WIN 7 Pro; 8GB RAM; 120 GB SSD; The goal: To get my NUC setup to a remote control so I could simply turn on my NUC with the remote control and then using the remote to launch KODI and then be able to start a movie or TV show using the remote only.

Jun 25, 2012· I definitely want to be able to control my htpc with a remote, including completely powering on/off. There are some cases that come with integrated IR receiver and remote, for example: Techsolo TC 2200 / MSTech MC1200 (seems …

Oct 05, 2014· It''s got many good characteristics for a HTPC: it''s small, it''s quiet, it consumes little energy, it''s affordable and there''s even an integrated infrared sensor. I previously wrote an article about the DN2820FYKH NUC and it''s characteristics. Today I''m going to take a look how the Bay Trail NUC works as a HTPC.
Mar 04, 2012· I''m building a new HTPC in a Wesena E6 case that has a window for an internal IR sensor. I''d like to add one if possible, eliminating the external Microsoft USB device I have on my existing system. The mobo I''m about to order for my new build is the Asus E45M1M PRO and I have a standard MS MCE remote. 1.
